Working with feeds

The feeds list​

The All Feeds page lists every feed configured for the catalog, with:

  • Name — the feed's label.
  • Source — the catalog and products the feed is built from.
  • Destination — the channel or format the feed is exported to.
  • Last run — when the feed was last generated.
  • Status — whether the feed is up to date, running, or failed.

Each feed has a row actions menu with View details, Edit feed, and Generate feed.

Generate a feed​

Use Generate feed to produce the feed on demand, or let a schedule generate it for you. Each run updates the feed's Last run and Status, and the resulting feed is made available at its export location for the channel to pick up.

TODO: what does a reader do when a feed's status is failed? Where is the error shown, and what are the common causes — an unmapped required field, an unreachable destination, an empty source?
